This week was cooooool,in both definitions, (something, something) I suppose~
Lots of lines in 2d art blaghhh. Theres really only so much you can draw of lines before you get bored and restless. I know that now haha.I'm proud of myself for finishing though! And its a lot better when you finish because you feel a lot more accomplished and like everything was worth it.
Heres the finished piece!
-Sharpie and Pigma Micron Pen

I kind of messed up in the corner :[ because I was so tired of drawing lines by then and rushed it. Bad mistake >.<>

I thought it was a pretty nifty drawing. I think I'll practice shading in it with Illustrator next week.
- Watched a drama. It was called Hi, My Sweetheart starring Rainie Yang, Show Luo. People who watch dramas-you should go watch it. I thought the 10 episodes were hilarious. The last 4 kind of pissed me off though :[. There was also 2 characters that pissed me off. Both were middle aged conservative ladies. Those bitches. =_= Anyway, I recommend it.
- Coached Field! - It's pretty awesome :] I really thought it'd be kind of strange being back at Whitney, but it wasn't. Probably because I was more at Whitney's field rather than Whitney itself haha. We high jumped and even though it wasn't even one of my events, I took it in stride, met a bunch of the field people, and I hope I did a good job. I'm finding it a good experience to address large groups of people and make it so that they actually listen to what you have to say. Also, I'm surprised I still remember most of their names. Usually when someone introduces themselves, I focus more on making a good impression and I end up hearing their name but forgetting it instantly. Its pretty exciting.

In 3d art, we're(my group and I) making this wire sculpture thing. We've been making it for the past few weeks actually and I really like it OuO. Its based on a tornado, even though it looks more like a typhoon at this point, and we're still at the paper macheing stage so it looks like a mess, but I'm sure it'll turn out ridiculously awesome. I thought about making a machete so itd be a paper machete but I thought of it too late. (GET IT? LOLS) Its a good design idea though so I'll probably be drawing one in the future. -writes down- I think I'll be posting a progression of the project next week.
I think the best thing about this class is that I get to go out of class in the middle of working to take a break or eat or whatever there is to do. I can be gone for 30 minutes and as long as the project is completed at the end, the professor doesn't mind. :OOOOOOOOOO sweetness.
And then my other classes.. hardly worth mentioning.
Calc - HOLY SHIT LOTS OF HOMEWORK FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Thank god for calcchat and already having taken calc before. Oh yeah, theres a retarded kid, not figuratively, in our class and he's such a comedian. He makes random outbursts in the middle of class, some of which are incoherent, and it provides a fun distraction from the teaching. The professor also kind of gives a death glare to the kid so its fun watching them match off. I feel like a bad person now :\
Anth Bio. - Kind of interesting actually. We made babies out of Popsicle sticks and watched a documentary on drug resistant TB, which was scary. Reminded me of that other disease vid from CLS, all those years ago D:
Some other things I did this week:
- PLAYED WITH ILLUSTRATOR! (SEE HEADER) The gradient tool can suck it.

I thought it was a pretty nifty drawing. I think I'll practice shading in it with Illustrator next week.

- Sarah He's birthday party/dinner - HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN SARAH. I felt old, which if I think about it doesn't make any sense because most of the people there were the same age as me. I had a good time :P. We went to this Thai food restaurant (in Orange of all places haha) and the food there was good. Not the best, but still good. As expected the food was spicy X_X and I drank a LOT of water. Lots of pictures were taken and it was a comfortable setting. Afterwards, most people went home, and the rest of us went to play pool. It was Josh, Andrew Fang, Sarah, Sarah's brother, Kameron, and I that ended up going. I want a pool table. (My birthday is in 4 months)
that was my week.
that was my week.
also, I found this one night and thought it was hilarious.
...dchan...

"When you are speaking in a social setting you don’t want to stare into someone’s eyes as this is a bit strange for someone to do, and a bit off-putting for the talker. To get over this, use a triangle approach. First look at one eye of the talker, then look at their mouth, briefly, and then move onto their other eye. This shows you are still interested in what they have to say as you have not looked away from their face."
ReplyDeleteA very interesting read: http://lifesnips.com/communication/556/what-are-your-eyes-giving-away/
Also, if you look at someone's mouth for too long, it might give off the impression that you're looking belooow the mouth (which isn't too good if you're talking to a girl *if you catch my drift*.)
woahhh thats a cool article
